About

ME : : :

My name is Tedra. I live in San Clemente, a darling little beach town known as "The Spanish Village by the Sea" located in sunny Southern California. I know I am lucky to live where I do, but after visiting Australia, I think I was born on the wrong continent. Aside from currently living in the 'wrong' hemisphere, I am pretty typical - married, with children (1 step-son, and 2 daughters), a dog, a cat, and a fish named sushi. We are a flip-flop wearing, ocean loving, casual kind of family.

MY MANY HATS : : :

Other than being a wife and a mom (which as many of you know is like wearing a million hats - taxi driver, house keeper, chef, nurse, cheerleader, etc. - I love it all. Well, maybe not 'all', I could never scrub another toilet and be just fine.)…

MY MANY HATS : : :

Other than being a wife and a mom (which as many of you know is like wearing a million hats - taxi driver, house keeper, chef, nurse, cheerleader, etc. - I love it all. Well, maybe not 'all', I could never scrub another toilet and be just fine.) I manage to find time to put on my beret (not really, I just thought it was fitting visual of an artist hat).

MY BERET : : :

I am currently a Graphic Artist, Jeweler, and Printmaker (why 'currently' - oh, who knows what I will do next). I have worked professionally as a graphic artist for many years and I still love it (need a logo???). However, I found myself wanting try to create more rustic, raw and unique one-of-a-kind items so, I started making jewelry - making wearable art is so much fun! Still having a love for colorful art on paper, yet wanting to continue to produce rustic, raw, unique one-of-a-kind pieces, I started printmaking. It is a great way for me to bring my graphic art and original drawings together with a bit of whimsy.

Where you will find me wearing my imaginary beret : : :

• Tedra Designs • Pickled Pineapple • Ukulele Lounge

MY LOVES : : :

Other than the obvious; family, friends, and creating art of all types --- I love: to laugh so hard it makes me cry • footprints in the sand • watching my kids enjoy life (traveling, surfing, sailing, snowboarding...) • listening to my daughter play guitar and ukulele • sushi (the food, not the pet) • my grandma's Italian cooking • a book I can't put down • Australia • gardening • bright colors • all things Mexican (culture, art, food, decor...) • warm sunny days • roasting marshmallows at the beach • the smell of surf wax • rainbow sandals (a local SC favorite) • the time of day when everything turns to a silhouette • and a million other things...like dark chocolate and cup of green tea in the afternoon.
