About

My entire life was geared towards crafts, arts and creativity. I think my favorite and most influential gifts as a child was from my beloved aunt. It was the "Craft of the Month" club and I eagerly awaited that box each month. I didn't care what the project was, I just knew it would be fun! Art School was just an introduction to a new playground and although I love so many different mediums, I settled into clay work like it was a lifelong friend. At first, it was clay work with throwing and slab work and that grew into ceramics and slip casting.

Although these two great and amazing mediums are sooooo close and use the same concepts, there has been an unfortunate division between those that "create" and those that "use molds". I am the rare middle of the road artist that adores each one and sees them both co-existing in an amazing world of art…

After years of great experiences with clay, ceramics and the reality of surviving a business world, I decided to have a mobile business for field trips that is home based. I love, love, love working out of my home! I trap, neuter and release cats in the neighborhood so I have the "strayless" cats that linger around as well as my own kitties that seem to be in the middle of clay work at every opportunity. I rescued a cockatoo named Sammy who keeps us company in the production studio, dancing and swinging around his perches....and screams at the most surprising moments. These critters are always around as we make your pieces and paint the designs.

To relax, I also make jewelry, mosaic, sew and garden. Is there a secret to getting tomatoes? I really want to know. At this point I am just donating to the local wildlife. But, my plant stakes I made look awesome! ha ha

I took on a healthy approach to life a few years ago and switched up my diet to exclude any meat other than seafood, and have focused on a more "green" lifestyle.

I am a single mom to the most fabulous and wonderful daughter who is my best friend and she has crushed me in not following my artsy path. Could possible be that she was saturated all through her childhood? We still get along fabulously!

Thank you for perusing my shop. I am always eager to find something that sells well because I just like to make it. Selling it allows me to make more! Everything is made with love and blessings to all that bring the pieces into their homes!
