Armed with a whimsical imagination and a knack for creativity, my journey into the world of handcrafted designs began as a young girl sneaking supplies from the craft cabinet and rummaging through my mom's scrap fabric box to complete the newest "project" I had undertaken. My attraction to fabric and crafts convinced my parents that my skills might be developed with guided instruction, and at the age of 9 I began learning the art of sewing. My creativity was sparked, and since then I have gained valuable experience sewing for children, adults, craft purposes, and, of course, American Girl dolls. My passion for creating historical ensembles for 18 inch girls has encouraged me to investigate fashions throughout history and experiment with designs to reproduce outfits in miniature form.
