I’ve been overdressed for a quarter of a century! But the beauty of this region inspires many artisans.

I’m a retired teacher. After many years of encouraging my students in the gifted/talented program to express themselves creatively, I now have time to follow my own advice. When my daughter gave me a book of crochet projects as a Mother’s Day gift with purses already marked, I took the hint and began making some as gifts. Her friends admired them, so a new vocation opened up.

I especially enjoy playing with the yarns and fibers, finding a unique mix of color and texture and trying out new stitches or ways to update vintage patterns. Living in Japan as a military brat gave me a great appreciation for Asian design that often inspires my choice of purse linings. I prefer novelty, resulting in one-of-a-kind purses, soldered collages, and pet portraits. And I really enjoy problem-solving, so special orders are welcome.
