Anderson founded Pop Culture Rehab (formerly Lark Studio) in 2003, as a practical outlet for the handmade and unique items she had enjoyed making for years. While her varied creations may not seem to share a common thread, all of her work is unified with an eco-consciousness and a remarkable attention to detail that her customers have come to expect. She began selling her items on the streets of Richmond and eventually found like-minded individuals, which led to her creating the Richmond Craft Mafia in 2005.

Dawn also believes in giving back to the craft community she has come to love. In 2006 she launched indiecraftshows.com, a user-driven web resource for indie friendly venues.
