Dawna St.Marie's Profile

About

Several years ago, a friend’s collection of vintage rhinestone brooches opened my eyes to a world of sparkle, dazzle and shine; and introduced me to such designers of vintage jewelry as Weiss, Sherman and Kramer. It wasn’t too long before I started to buy and wear vintage bracelets. I couldn’t stop looking at and admiring these pieces that arrived in my mailbox. The color combinations; the clarity, sparkle and shine of the stones; and the wonderful craftsmanship and design-work held such a fascination for me.

I am truly grateful to my friend Della for introducing me to the wonderful world of vintage jewelry; and thankful to Theresa Nolet of Jardin Antiques, my teacher, who taught me the art of working with rhinestones. Also, thanks to all of those wonderful Etsy-ians who have such wonderful stones and settings that I often use in my designs.
