Jennifer Dove's Profile

About

My name is Jennifer and I have been creating pottery in both stoneware and porcelain for more than a decade. I graduated with a BA from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Previously studied pottery under Regis Brodie through Skidmore and now study under Jill Fishon-Kovachick at the Saratoga Clay Arts Center. I enjoy decorating with glazing techniques to create a unique visual experience with each of my pottery pieces. I throw my pottery on the wheel, glazing each piece with care using high-fire, salt fire, Raku or Sagger firing techniques. When creating my pottery I also keep in mind that the simple pleasure of holding and examining artwork of this sort is part of its joy.
