Sarah Bass' Profile

About

Long ago a young family lived in a tiny hamlet nestled in between two Great Lakes. The winters were trying as they worked hard to buy enough propane to keep them warm. One day the gauge on the propane tank showed enough gas for one more day, while the bank showed the next deposit to be three weeks away. The family carried on knowing they would think of something before it was too late. Still warm fifteen days later, the deposit arrived early and the propane was delivered that same day! Now, every year in the dead of winter, the family celebrates the miracle of their propane tank with a feast for their friends and family. Heat is the order of the day: hot house, hot food, hot drinks, gifts of warmth. Propanicus is a time of celebration.
