About

I grew up in a house full of women. My grandma, mom, aunt and later, my cousin. My grandma was a seamtress and taught my mom and aunt how to sew. We had one black Singer sewing machine and everyone used it! I rarely had a shot at it, but I was always right there to watch and learn. It instilled in me a love for ( now ) vintage fabrics and a great appreciation for detail and handmade items.

My shop is a collection of those items that hark back to my past growing up in Southern California in the late '60's - early '70's. There was so much sunshine! Vintage clothes and housewares that are bright and joyful and other found objects that simply make me do a little happy dance inside!

Thanks for visiting Pure Joy Vintage and
I hope you find something here that makes you do a little happy dance too!…
