I am a stay-at-home, home-school mother of three, very active boys. My degree is in illustration and design from the University of Kansas. I love to create, teach and learn new things.

WHY THE NAME? No, purple is not my favorite color. In fact the name came from the woman in the Bible named Lydia, she sold the color purple as a means to help provide for her family. I have always loved the mention of her and often wondered about her handmade items that were dyed purple.

Making jewelry has provided me with a way to be creative and feminine at the same time. Having all boys, yep, I need a little girl time. I use my grandmothers antique roll top desk as my work space. All the little cubbies are perfect for the small things that I use and the roll top is perfect for "closing up shop" and away from busy, curious little hands…

The Pygora yarns and fiber in our shop are lovingly grown by our little flock of Pygora goats.
