About

I had a science teacher in the sixth grade who changed my life.

The way she a) made science ridiculous fun, b) always talked about boogers, and c) would grade and decorate homework with rubber stamps that excited me and kick-started my journey to the creative side.

Influenced by her, I purchased my first rubber stamp: the two-part Troll stamp with the crazy hair you could stamp in different colors. Amazing.

Stamping and science projects awakened other crafts and everything DIY which, along with hanging out with gadget fiends like my father and older brother, fed the hunger to constantly think, build, create and sew. why, hello there!

Figuring out how to make and to re-make things work for me (and you!) is the name of my evolution as an artist. In my mind, those are the quietest times -- when I feel hyper-focused and all I can think of is: doing.

Everything is designed, screen-printed and sewn by me here in Orange County, California. I am a working mom of a new baby boy that keeps me busy, but inspires me everyday; and a wife to a husband who first taught me how to screen print during our pre-couple days, but still allows me to put him to work with the squeegee in the name of creativity.

Personally, I delight in knowing that the money I spend on independent and locally made goods supports a positive and notable movement and I hope you do, too!

Thank you, for stopping by QuietDoing on Etsy and for shopping small and supporting indie craft!
