About

In the 1950’s when my mom was a young woman, she collected salt and pepper shakers when she visited a new state, national park or memorable event. Sometimes she just bought them because they were cute! Her grandpa custom made a cabinet for her to display them in where they have remained protected over the years.

Recently, my mama came to me and asked if I could sell some of her salt and pepper shakers on my Etsy site. Mom needed to pay some bills and more importantly make a trip from California to Indiana to attend her grandson’s wedding. I put the first box of 25 shakers on line and sold 4 within the first 6 hours. My Mama’s Closet was born.

We are working on getting the remaining shakers online ….. and mama is looking in her closet to see what else she has from her younger days that is now considered “vintage”.
