Beth Rietveld's Profile

About

Quilting and making baskets brings me tremendous joy and there is hardly a day that goes by when I am not creating something out of exquisite fabrics and threads. My name is Beth Rietveld and I started sewing as a teenager. When there were enough fabric remnants, I sewed them together into my first quilt when I was just 16 years old.

Now, many years later, I collect fabrics from around the world, particularly batiks and Japanese fabrics. I most recently have started making fabric baskets and am happy to make baskets in custom sizes and colors to either match a quilt or match a decor. Small baskets are great for keys and change at the end of the day. Long-oval baskets are great for incoming mail and bills that need to be paid. Large baskets can be used for just about anything.
