Jody's Profile

About

My quilting life began when my Amish gramma died...I took up the needle to remember and honor her and the beliefs she lived her life by. She didn't need a name to attach to what she did...recycle wasn't a word on the horizon, but she 'recycled' cereal boxes to make her quilt patterns and my first quilt has bits of her clothing and aprons in it. Now in the modern world of rush rush, high tech, I am still taking comfort in creating something beautiful out of bits of colored fabric or passing on old pieces to be loved again or even 'recycled' into something new and exciting.
I have another shop here on etsy where I sell vintage everything else, however in this shop we will be focusing on textiles, lace, fabric, quilts, anything new or old that is quilting/sewing related. Please visit my other store @
