About

Thank you for visitng my Etsy page! My name is Rachael and I live in Northern Virginia. I started painting glassware in 2009. My mom knew I had artistic ability and was tired of buying painted wine glasses and demanded a set for Christmas! Since then, I started painting sets as gifts for other people. I then discovered this wonderful website and decided to try and sell my work.

My studio is in my basement where I keep all of my supplies and my completed stemware. My art table used to be my bedroom door growing up. I treated it as a scrapbook and it is covered top to bottom in magazine cut-outs, pictures, souvenirs, postcards, etc. The door was salvaged from my childhood home and my dear husband covered it in plexiglass, added some legs, and it is now a charming table that takes me down memory lane every single day.

All of my designs are unique and inspired by anything and everything that surrounds me. Some ideas come to me when I'm trying to fall asleep or if I'm doing a crossword puzzle. My creative process is pretty random, to say the least! Since each set of glassware is hand-painted and one of a kind, no two sets are alike.

All wine glasses have been prewashed and prepped for painting. I use dry enamel glass paints, and my work is heat-set for long-lasting results and dishwasher safe (top rack only)

I'm open to doing custom work, and I appreciate any comments, critiques, or suggestions that you may have. Thank you again for looking!
