Lynne Anderson's Profile

About

Hi and thank you for your interest! My name is Lynne Anderson and I am happy to reside and do my creative work in beautiful Southwestern Colorado.

My husband, Robert Leuallen (different last names, but married nonetheless), is an integral part of my artistic endeavors. At this point, he runs the bulk of the raku firing right up to the pulling of the pieces and leaves the design, creation, glazing and finish work to me. Together, we spin ideas and have fun along the way.

Of mostly English heritage, I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. My family owned a ranch in central Texas and much of my nearly overwhelming inspiration of nature can be dated back to that time and place.

Following high school, I came to Colorado to work/study and felt I had come "home". I completed my undergraduate work…

I completed my undergraduate work in Fine Arts with a teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 1970 and, in 1996, completed my Master's Degree in Ceramics and Art Education at the same University. While I was raising my two children, I taught art in the public schools (later at college level) and while I did love teaching, always in the back of my heart/mind was the longing to live my life as an artist.
I created my raku clay business "Shekinah Clay" in 1998 and have been a professional artist since then. I'm immersed in the creative process and love every minute......always have new ideas and look forward to the studio time to bring them into existence!

We live in Southwestern Colorado with our cat "Ms. Wings" a delightfully quirky bob tailed Manx and two adopted Nanday Conure parrots "Marco and Mia"....who provide endless joy to us! Here in the desert SW, I continue to draw rich inspiration for the work I do.

....about SHIPPING and RETURNS.....

I do my best to ball park shipping fees when I cannot possibly know the part of the country the buyer is from. I do not charge for packaging/boxing materials. IF actual shipping charges are more than I have estimated, I will cover it. For International shipping, I ask for communication from the customer so that I may assess the International shipping charges accurately based on which item they are interested in purchasing.

In most cases, I will ship the item out in a 24 hr. time period and I am diligent to let the buyer know when the item is on its way. When an item is ordered on a Saturday afternoon, earliest ship out will be Monday (provided it's not a Holiday).

RETURNS:

YES, I do accept them.....within 10 days following purchase....return shipping would be up to you.

When I first opened my business, I thought carefully about why I do what I do and developed what I might call a "Vision Statement".

It is: "Just as words thoughtfully spoken are able to minister grace to the hearers...may this artwork minister grace to all who view it and to the place in which it resides." See, I believe that artwork (whether hanging on the wall or hanging on you) has the ability to lift the spirit...I do what I do because I love it and, equally important, I also want it to carry light and blessing into other's lives.
