About

All my life, I've been surrounded by some sort of creativity. I was 13 before I had my first 'store bought' dress (which I still have! haha)-- and my favorite comment from Jr high & high school teachers was "Surely, your mother did NOT make that!!" Her mother loved to quilt& crochet and on my daddy's side... there was Aunt Abi!!!! (I need to ask if that was short for Abigail!) My grandmother's sister-- Aunt Abi was a hoot! Met her when I was about 10- and decided I needed to spend some of my summer time in her care after she fashioned a tree out of a section of newspaper!!! She lived in half of an old church which was fun in itself! She taught me how to make my own decorative pillows (a cat from an old pink towel), embroider and other items- mostly things thrown away later since they were made from trash anyway. She upcycled before whomever invented that word was probably born!!!…

From learning to sew in a 'class' my mother taught in 1970, I've dabbled in just about every handcraft and several art forms since then! Most recently, I've fallen in love with paper crafts and using vintage items to create new and useable things! My husband and I do art and craft shows--- he makes ink and fountain pens--and I do 'randomstuff'-- from jewelry to journals to coaster-- most all paper related. I strive to make objects that are fun, functional, and affordable! My most loved comment is from people who tell me that my booth is their favorite at the show--or the most unique. I take pride in the fact that my little space isn't found on every other aisle!

Recently, I introduced my square link bracelets to etsy and for now---its the only shop to find them in such a wide variety! I do nearly 50 different themes-- Snoopy, Owls, Birds, movies and tv shows (gone with the wind to laverne & shirley!!)-- I love Lucy--- and my most popular-- a "Design it Yourself" Broadway musical/play bracelet!! If you have a theme you'd like to see played out in seven tiny tiles--- just drop me a convo and I'll see if I can do it!

I also list antiques & retro things from time to time-- which is how I became "RandomStuff"!! When I decided to open an Etsy shop a few years ago-- my husband and I were discussing what to name it--since I planned on selling" a variety of things from vintage things, to paper crafts I make, to his pens.... a bunch of random stuff", said I. And he said-- "why not name it that?" "What?" "Random Stuff"

So. Here I am!
