I have always been interested in creating things. From making paper beads taught to me by my mom to making collages while spending summer days with my paternal aunt or being exposed to the needle arts by my maternal aunt.
Sewing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. With my sisters I made clothes for troll dolls when I was a kid. I have taught myself embroidery, needlepoint, counted cross stitch, quilting, rug hooking, needlefelting, and the list goes on. I made clothes for my kids when they were young and I still do for myself. I've made all manner of gifts for friends and family involving needle and thread.

Recycling came about when I used a worn out flannel shirt destined for the rag box, to dress a primitive doll I was working on. I liked the idea of getting a second use from that shirt! Since then I use clean recycled garments in most everything I make.
