I have a husband, 2 sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, granddaughter and a grandson. My husband is from Michigan and is retired from his job as a Postmaster of a small town in SC. I am a life long resident of West Columbia, SC. My days are kept busy sewing, working with my part-time job or watching out for my Mother. I really enjoy the time I get to spend with my sweet little granddaughter, Cordelia.

I have enjoyed sewing and crafting since I was small. My first projects were sewing Barbie doll clothing. Didn't realize that was probably the hardest thing to start on. Took home ec in high school (that dates me). Now I usually start sewing…

I have enjoyed sewing and crafting since I was small. My first projects were sewing Barbie doll clothing. Didn't realize that was probably the hardest thing to start on. Took home ec in high school (that dates me). Now I usually start sewing things because I need or want them myself. Do a lot of my own patterns because I can make things just like I want them to be.

I chose Redbird as part of my business name because cardinals are a special part of our family history. My father loved redbirds. I don't think that he ever called them cardinals. So when I see a "redbird", I remember my Daddy.

As a life long resident of South Carolina I just love our state and it's beautiful spots. My banner is of the Gervais Street bridge in Columbia, SC-our riverfront is one of the spots I love to visit in our area.
