I am a rescuer, a re-user, a re-purposer. I love to find cool vintage items and put them back into circulation. They might cycle through my house or be offered directly to you.
About a year ago, I was at a store that sells used tools. There was a wall filled with wrenches. Thousands of wrenches. I wondered if all the wrenches the world could ever use had already been manufactured and had somehow found their way to this one gathering place. I like to think about the prior owners and wonder about the life that went on around a vintage item. What was going on in the world while that piece was first purchased? Who bought it and why? Maybe it was a wedding gift or a present from a dear friend. Maybe someone saved for years to buy it. I hope you will be inspired to reuse a vintage treasure and think about it's past and give it a place in your future.
