Both of my grandmothers were sewers and l grew up around fabrics, quilts, sewing machines and creativity. I was always interested in combining untraditional textiles to create something fun and whimsical. That curiosity and passion for sewing lead me to formally educate in Fashion Design and shortly after Fashion Merchandising and Management. I'm fortunate to have spent the last 10 years making costumes for theatres, tv and motion pictures as well as the performing arts. I learned tailoring and period costume construction techniques from a highly skilled cutter and apply those techniques when sewing my creations.
