About

Both of my grandmothers were sewers and l grew up around fabrics, quilts, sewing machines and creativity. I was always interested in combining untraditional textiles to create something fun and whimsical. That curiosity and passion for sewing lead me to formally educate in Fashion Design and shortly after Fashion Merchandising and Management. I'm fortunate to have spent the last 10 years making costumes for theatres, tv and motion pictures as well as the performing arts. I learned tailoring and period costume construction techniques from a highly skilled cutter and apply those techniques when sewing my creations.

My current products are untraditional textile pairings. I often use fabrics meant for interior design for the lining of my coffee and mason jar sleeves. Those fabrics are not only viable but add an unexpected flourish of whimsy to an area that doesn't typically get much attention, the inside of things. I believe that the same amount of care and craft should be applied to the inside of a product as well the outside.

All of my products are made by hand from a combination of material and trim that was saved from heading to landfill and new printed fabric. I strive to ensure that a minimum of 50% of every product is upcycled viable content. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as l do. I love hunting for prints and many of them have a great story behind them. May their journey continue with you.

My Coffee Sleeve Bio:

ReFluff is an eco conscious company that upcycles materials and turns it into new and useful items.

The reversible coffee sleeve was launched in 2011 as an answer to the excessive waste created from take out coffee/tea cups. I was tired of throwing out perfectly viable paper products that had a shelf life of one use or agreeing that it was acceptable to waste energy and resources required to create the cardboard sleeves. Upcycling textiles into coffee sleeves that will be used for years to come instead of perpetuating the vicious cycle of waste from the pulp and paper industry seemed to be a more eco conscious solution.

My coffee sleeves consist of 50% upcycled textiles rescued from heading to landfill, are hand made personally in my Toronto Studio, are one of a kind, reversible, and eco-friendly. I hand pick each print, the placement of the pattern, and coordinate the inner lining to compliment the outside fabric. They are sized to be compatible with take out cups as well as double walled travel mugs. Much thought goes into every coffee sleeve and l'm proud to offer you a unique attractive eco friendly product that's hand made in Canada.

I cherish my products and hope you will too. I welcome custom orders and ship internationally. Thank you for your interest and please enjoy your visit.
