About

Since I was young I have had an affinity for the arts. I have worked my way through a variety of mediums, from watercolor and oil painting to sculpture and photography and finally decided to pursue a career in design. About

Since I was young I have had an affinity for the arts. I have worked my way through a variety of mediums, from watercolor and oil painting to sculpture and photography and finally decided to pursue a career in design. I have recently gone back to school and have been working my way toward a degree in Industrial Design, and am interested specifically in designing furniture. Meanwhile I worked as an apprentice in a small wood shop, and later became a lead woodworker. I have been building custom furniture for over four years, and have enjoyed the chance to express my creativity while learning such a distinctive skill. With the economic downturn I have found myself out of work and faced with the amazing opportunity to create my own designs, and to do it in a way that is socially and environmentally conscious. Repurposing objects and materials is not only an important social trend it is also my aesthetic inspiration. I find beauty in deterioration. I prefer wood when it is weathered, metal with a patina and the fragile patterns of vintage textiles. I hope you will find my designs a welcome addition to your home and to your conversations.
