About

Thanks for stopping by my shop! For the past 20+ years, I have been an avid (some might say "rabid") collector of retro and funky items, especially anything mid-century (50s, 60s, 70s) or Art Deco. Seeing as I don't live in a McMansion, I have run out of space so I am doing some house cleaning. My loss is your gain.

I adore vintage items and often wish I could hear the story of an item's history...if only they could talk! In today's disposable society and mass consumption, things are just not made the way they used to be. Some of the items I find are 50+ years old...and, save for a little wear and tear, have managed to survive in remarkable condition. To me, a little chip or crack only adds character to an item. It tells me the item was used and most likely well-loved. How many of today's things bought at the big box stores will be around 30, 40 or 50 years from now?…

For that matter, how many of us age 50 or older don't have any signs of wear and tear?!? Vintage items in "perfect" or "flawless" condition are getting harder to come by...if you do find them, that perfection will command higher prices.

I take customer service very seriously. My etsy buyer profile is 100% (186), and my other online site rating is 100% (723). I have been an online shopper for over 10 years now, and I still feel excited when the mail carrier delivers a package of goodies!

I'm conscious about shipping costs and will combine items whenever possible to save money. Due to the size and/or fragility of some items, this may not always be possible.
