About

I am constantly inspired by my surroundings. I'm also one of the lucky people to live in the little community of Carpinteria, CA, where the Pacific Ocean meets the avocado groves and flower fields. Full of inspirational material, my little corner of this town is located on Rincon Road. I am fortunate enough to have grow up here on our family's avocado ranch, and continue to do so as I raise my family.

I'm a farm girl turned full time interior designer, turned full time mom part time designer. Rincon Road Design Studio is my creative outlet and hopefully a chance to provide a little income for my family.

All the creations found here at Rincon Road Design Studio cary with them a piece of my life story. Wether it be the old mailboxes I've passed every day at the entrance to our drive for the past 30 years or the anise growing outside my kitchen…

Wether it be the old mailboxes I've passed every day at the entrance to our drive for the past 30 years or the anise growing outside my kitchen window, they all carry a piece of me with them.

Each piece is hand printed by block and starts as a sketch. The sketch is then transferred to a rubber block for carving. A surface is chosen and the printing begins. All prints are made with water based block printing ink and I try my best to choose environmentally responsible materials.

My hope is that these pieces find loving homes, and that I can share the inspiration I see on a daily basis from my corner of the world with yours.

Melinda Trembly
