Incarnations and Incantations
Early in my professional career I trained as a graphic artist and typesetter, then through an apprenticeship with the same company gained journeyman status as a lithographer. I hold a BFA in textile surface design followed by a MFA in painting with an emphasis on conceptual constructs and color field theory. Time spent at a local jewelry arts academy remains invaluable. I've loved every minute on the path.
My current incarnations include cloth and fiber constructions, personal adornments, and scent forms - all embodying a personal aesthetic around an earth-centered lexicon. As to scent: influenced by ancient peoples who beautified their bodies with tribal marks, I embrace perfume signs as invisible scent tattoos upon which to mark one's territory.
