About

I retired a few years ago from a much loved career in the Army aircraft maintenece and overhaul industry. Born and raised in the south I am a country boy at heart and my passion for all things outdoors and nature itself has led me to pursue my interest for crafting reproduction Native American artifacts and crafts. The pure simplicity, beauty, ingenuity and functionality of the tools (artifacts) that provided these wonderful people with everything they needed to survive has always fascinated me. I reproduce them however, I know I can never give them the justice they deserve. I thank the great spirit above for giving me the talent that guides my hands in reproducing only a few of these items.

I have been flintknapping, (flaking flint to reproduce the artifacts) for approximately 20 years and have been crafting Traditional and reproduction Native American bows and arrows for 29 years. I hunt deer and small game with my hand crafted bows and arrows. The stone arrowheads I reproduce are as deadly on large or small game.
I enjoy participating in the fur trade era rendezvous and Pow Wows and wearing my hand sewn buckskin clothing. I enjoy the camping and cooking in cast iron cookware, (dutch ovens and skillets), over hot hardwood coals, and sleeping in my one pole hunters tent. The oder of smoked bacon or sausage swirling through the cool early morning air is almost intoxicating. Fresh buttered biscuits baked in a duch oven to jam that link sausage into. Great stuff!!!
If there is an item that you are interested in and do not see listed in my shop or has been sold, please convo me and we can discuss your needs. All the reproduction items you see in my shop are not only for display but they are all highly functional pieces and should be handled with care. I have had a few friends that have actually processed a deer with them. Do not throw or pry due to the nature of the stone. Thanks for visiting and your interest in old things made new. Please check back often for more new and unique items. Have a great day and may God bless.
