About

My husband and I currently live in Orange county California in a little condo that needs lots of TLC. Lucky for me my husband is a contractor so all the labor is free...wink wink. I have created all of the art on our walls and really enjoy decorating. I love change and finding a new way to make or see something in a better way.

When we got engaged I found that I could never quite find the exact wedding decor I wanted. The theme of my wedding was "Love". I cut out numerous different letters which all spelled out LOVE. I used my letters also in my engagement shoot as props and the photos turned out so much more fun and unique. I have a couple of friends who are photographers and are always useing my letters or requesting new props for me to make for them. I love custom orders!

Custom orders make me take a step back and take a different approch to what I do. I love going back and forth to come up with what someone has imagined in their head. I also love it when a customer says "surprise me".

I've worked every kind of job there is. I was a flight attendant for a short time but found it far too lonely. Worked in a high end casino in Vegas but found it far too cut throat. I've been a waitress/bartender for more years than I know, but have really found my passion working at a custom cabinet shop. I went back to school and got a interior design degree and specialized in AutoCAD. My employers are creative happy and encouraging. I do everything from creating shop drawings, design, fine detail painting, and anything else that needs a creative eye or idea. I also use all scrap off fall from any projects they currently are working on. Nothing goes to waste around here if I have anything to do with it.
If I can get a good chunk of exotic wood I usually squirrle it away for something special. I usually work with MDF which is a kind of super fine particle board. It is very easy to sand and carve making it possible to get really smooth curves and swirls.
I look forward to filling up my shop with as much visual eye candy as I can possibly make. I have to say I couldn't have been (and still am) more nervous than when I posted my first item. The butterflies still haven't gone away. I am really anxious and excited to have my first sale and or custom order.
