I'm a perfectionist and 100% self-taught in everything I do. I will make something over and over again until it's exactly right and I have a huge pile of reject to prove it. (my friends love digging through the reject pile)
I have eclectic style and unusual taste which is absolutely reflected in the clothing I make. Hopefully this comes across as haute couture rather then freak show but I'm not making any promises.
My current project has been denim jeans and it's taken me about three months to get them right. I can't say I know all the tricks, but I can turn out an awesome pair of jeans. It takes a lot of time and patience but in the end the reward is great. There is nothing quite like the feeling pulling on a sweet pair of denim that you know is truly one of a kind.
I can also make t-shirts, button down shirts, underwear, and swimsuits. As I get things ramped up I'll be creating some of that stuff for etsy as well.
One of my main concerns besides style of course is quality. I don't feel like because something is hand made it should be of inferior quality, seem logical right? The reality is that it's not easy to compete with assembly line productions where each worker is responsible for only one step. I have to do everything right, including final inspection, which is why the "factory seconds" pile is so big, I'm a harsh critic. If you ever have a problem with something I've made, rest assured, I'll make it right. I just want to make people happy.
