My Mother and her sisters were naturally seamstresses, sewing all their own clothes during the war. Other crafts like tatting, crochet, and oil painting were all among the many interests my Mother shared with me.

I grew up in a home where my Mom stayed home and I just thought all little girls were learning to sew and crochet.
It wasn't until I got a job at a tailer shop, that I realized there were actually some women who didn't even know how to sew on a button, and others didn't own a pair of scissors.

Later, I bought the tailor shop. That was a lot of hours a week, and the boys were young.
Next, I found designing costumes to be fun and rewarding.

After that, I spent seven years at an aviation company refurbishing corporate and private jets for royalty, movie stars, musicians, and just the general RICH part of the population. Crawling around in jets and sewing leather seat covers proved to be a bit gruelling for one who has Fibromyalgia.

Staying home and making jewelry, something I did way back in my teens, which has come back in a big way seems to be more satisfying and exciting to me.
And, to be able to put some of my other crafts on the site for sale will be fun too.
