Sewing is not only a past time for me, it is also a passion. I have been sewing since I was 11 years old!

I come from a long line of seamstresses. This sewing passion has been passed down for 5 generations, going on 6 with my daughter. My wonderful mother has been my best teacher. I still have the baby quilts that she made for my children.

I began sewing clothing and accessories at first. I majored in Home Economics in college and after graduation, I began my own business sewing home décor; this enabled me to work from home and raise my children. I am now in the "empty nest" stage and have more time for “pleasure” sewing. The items on Etsy are from my pleasure sewing.

About 99% of my fabrics were destined for the landfill! I was able to obtain the fabrics (most are discarded samples that were forgotten in a warehouse) and put them to good use. In a way, you could say that I am recycling the fabrics.

50% of all sales will go to help support the orphanage of GRACE BAPTIST SCHOOL FOR THE HEARING & HEARING IMPAIRED. They started with only 4 children and now have 126 children starting from L.K.G. to 10th Grade. They are situated in a small town in Tamil Nadu state called Tirupattur, INDIA. They have been there for almost 17 years.
You can read more about the directors of this orphanage, Eric and Molly Franks at:

We may never know in this lifetime, how great an impact we were able to make in the lives of these precious children. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

(2011) I would like to take this opportunity to thank my customers for their support. With your help, we were able to send $248.81 to the SAFE HARBOR ORPHANAGE in Nigeria, West Africa!! That was from only 5 months worth of sales, since I opened my shop in August 2011. I can hardly wait to see how much we will be able to send in 2012 to orphanages around the world!
