Love traveling. Modeled couture in my teens, went to Rice University. moved from Houston to San Francisco to New England to Norway and back to San Francisco to study the Norwegian I learned in Norway. Fell in love with the arctic hitchhiking to the Norwegian/Russian border, so I got degrees in Botany and Scandinavian at UC Berkeley. Got my Master's in lichen physiological ecology, which I studied in the Brooks Range of Alaska...while at Arizona State University, in the Sonoran Desert. Bicycled for four months in the Cote D'Azur on honeymoon. Changed to neuropathology research after my son was born with a developmental disability, where I researched and published for 16 years. Science is Science, right? And now, I still use that quirky, creative part of me to fashion unusual or one of a kind clothing. There's not much I'm not interested in -- and paradoxes, opposites, contrasts and impossibilities particularly appeal to me.
