Saskia de Feijter's Profile

About

Saskia started a knitting circle at the ripe old age of 10, knitting underwear for her teddy bear, and lots of pillows. When puberty hit boys seemed much more important. But after a few years of Art School, after finding her true prince, finding herself in a not-so-creative-job, she started to crave the sound of ticking needles and then let out the creative tigress inside her once again. While I’m in no way denying the art of slow (mindful much?), I aim to get a new (younger) group in the claws of knitting by showing them that simple and handmade can be cool.
When I teach knitting classes I point out interesting (new) yarn varieties and colors & designs that match a broad range of current fashion views. All this translated to the victim’s personal tastes."
