Sebastian Borowski's Profile

About

My name is Sebastian Borowski. I am an artisan goldsmith, the owner of a small workshop situated in Dublin – the thriving capital city of Ireland. The city has evolved and changed dramatically since its humble begginings as a Viking settlement many centuries ago, Very much like my own path in life has changed and is still changing, sometimes because I want it to change and move forward and sometimes by pure coincidence and luck.

My adventure as a jeweller began in 2003. I come from Bialystok, a city in the northeast Poland where I did a degree in marketing, but I felt that this career path will not bring me satisfaction. I decided to move to Dublin to change something in my life and hopefully find a true passion that will not only help me make a living, but also bring me happiness and fulfillment.

I was always very creative, but discovered goldsmithing by pure luck. When I was living in Dublin, one of my friends asked me to help him repaint an old goldsmiths workshop. It was there that I had a chance to see how with hammer and file, fire and acid a man can create an object that becomes a delicate jewellery piece. It was this alchemy-like process that made me interested and finally led me to mastering the skills required to start my own jewellery business and become a part of the Irish jewellery industry.

I work with all precious metals (sterling silver, gold, platinum, etc.), semi precious and precious stones. I am aware of the jewellery industry having a huge impact on the enviroment and peoples lives so I only work with recycled gold and silver and ethically mined stones.

Please take a look at the “products” section of the website to see some of my creations. If you see something there that is no longer available in the online shop or if you have any special requests don’t hesitate to contact me. I can make almost any piece of jewellery according to your specifications.

I also make engagement rings and wedding bands, charms with hand engraved names and dates. Contact me to talk about the details.
