Hi...welcome to my shop! I've always loved creating things...sewing and painting, etc, and now I can share these creations with you!

I was about 7 years old when I discovered I could actually draw something! I then spent a lot of my time drawing and painting...wishing I could take those art lessons through the mail that I saw advertised in magazines...so I sent in the sketch the ad said to try copy. My dad even let a salesman come and tell us about it, but alas, we couldn't afford the lessons. I was somewhat heartbroken.

Next, I discovered the sewing machine! I busily began designing and sewing clothes for my dolls, and myself (without using patterns!) Later, I even sewd a tunic top for a friend and got paid!

I remember I designed and sewed for myself (when I was ? 11-13 yrs. old) a bright orangey-yellow suit, with black buttons...well, I guess it was quite daring (for a shy girl, but you can't hold back the 'artist' in you!...gonna manifest somehow!)... and I've always loved drama!

I went to college for 2 years, majoring in art, but had joined a rock band as a singer and keyboard player, so I quit college (bad choice) to work in the band full-time. (Strange, I don't remember anything from the art classes! Hehe!)

Next I got married, left the rock band, became a Christian, had 4 kids, etc...now have an 'empty nest' full of fabric, craft supplies, paints, AND time!!!

I often get inspiration from 'just seeing something' in my mind when I look at a certain fabric, or perhaps hear inspiring music, or see something in nature or a painting, etc. etc...It's fun to gather all the componets and parts of a project and watch it evolve into a 'creation'. It almost gets overwhelming when you start seeing things and possibilites everywhere!...aaaaahhh!

And...it's even more fun to see that someone wants and enjoys that creation!...that is a true 'thank-you'...to an artist! :) SG
