About

My interest is in adapting simple patterns to show off the colors, materials, and fibers I use in my work. I find inspiration from the colors and sites experienced during our travels to South East Asia. You can get a taste of what inspires me on my Pinterest board at http://pinterest.com/stitchesnquilts/

I like to support independent fiber artists and local shops whenever possible. Many of the fibers used in my knitting and felting have been dyed and spun by fellow Etsians. I've retired from my full time work after 35 years of strictly left brain work. I'm working part time as a health care consultant and enjoying expanding my right brain with the extra time I now have!

I'm married with no children. My husband and I have a long distance marriage as he lives in Viet Nam. This allows for creative time for me as well as a wonderful opportunity to explore that part of the world. Our two cats keep me company while he is away. Luckily they have no interest in yarn so other than a passing glance they don't disturb my knitting.
