Jewellery making is in my blood. First there was a young love affair with colourful seed beads and friendship bracelets. In my adolescence, I developed some bad ass calluses knotting chunky macrame hemp necklaces. I payed my way through university working at a bead store creating crystal bridal tiaras and teaching jewellery making classes. Then, I was inspired to run away to the West Coast to go to jewellery art school and learn to work with precious metals, stones, and fire.
Today I have an inspiring and beautiful studio on the East side of Vancouver, B.C., with high ceilings and a perfect view of downtown. I get to smash silver and copper and gold with my hammers while listening to David Bowie and Frank Zappa. Everyday I get one step closer to my dream through the act of creating and crafting.
I am the creator,…
