About

SaltyPeach Designs has stemmed out of the larger cause of my swashbuckling shipmates and myself. In general we feel we all need to slow down, take a minute, and try to reset our brains to the long term, thus preserving communal sustainability and celebrating ourselves, our families, and the folks around us. SaltyPeach is my way of communicating this notion. I am generally impatient with monotony, and with the mass production addiction that our society has fallen victim to, so you won't find many repeats in my work. I focus on natural materials, using found and recycled items when available. When designing I like to imagine items that I would enjoy carrying and ones that would work as functional pieces of art; bright and alive!

Favorite materials

I prefer to work with 100 percent cotton quilting fabric and linen in my handbags, I also like to use flannel for the uber soft bases of my quilts and fleece batting which I find easier to work with, and provides greater warmth for less bulk

I owe my creative bone to my parents and grandmothers who's hands have all crafted and painted and written beautiful things and filled my life with art from the time I was very small. By day I am a Registered Nurse, and a part time floral engineer. I enjoy my wild gardens, snuggling horse noses, cooking, being on the ocean with my dear friends and having sand between my toes. My personal love for sewing came as a bit of an accident when trying to complete my holiday gifts on a budget. It quickly spun out of control, taking over my tiny office, and I realized that I had better pay attention to a love that the universe so graciously bestowed upon me.

So I am proud to present the fruition of my little dream, I invite you take time to explore and hopefully find an item that will fit your needs and desires! If you see a style you like, but maybe not in your color or print, please let me know and I will be happy to work with you to create what you are looking for!

Thank You and Mitakuye Oyasin
