Sarah Loch-Test's Profile

About

I'm Sarah Loch-Test, an artist from Columbus, Ohio, currently living in North Carolina where I am in grad school at East Carolina University.

I've been making jewelry for as long as I can remember! I like to have fun with my work and combine childhood obsessions (like Dinosaurs!) with elements of design and craft that inspire me. Art Nouveau, Islamic and Indian craft are my favorite sources of inspiration and I hope you can see that in my jewelry. That's most of the jewelry you'll find in my Etsy shop. My jewelry can be found at Columbus' Mac Worthington Gallery, The Columbus Cultural Arts Center in and The Store in Pittsburgh's Society of Contemporary Craft.

I earned my BFA in Metals and Enameling from Kent State University in 2007. I then returned to Columbus where I worked at the Costume Specialists studio and continued to make my own work at home and at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center. In 2012 I got an amazing opportunity to move to Pittsburgh, PA where I worked and taught for a year with the Society of Contemporary Craft. My position as Studio Apprentice at SCC lead me to the MFA program in Metal Design at East Carolina University where I get to work among several amazing artists.
