About

Hello, I'm Susana, the creator, designer and crafter behind Says the Stone. I've been strongly involved in all kinds of artistic endeavours since I remember, either as a hobby or for a living. I have been making and selling jewellery created by me for more than 20 years. I'm loving it!

I'm a proud member of WEST (Winnipeg Etsy Street Team), an amazing group of people who are passionate about promoting Etsy shops based in Manitoba, Canada.

Something about me: I love spending time with my hubby and the monsters, the beach, Bach, home-made pizza, singing, day-dreaming and Math (not necessarily in that order :))Hmmm...I think the beach comes first!
Hope you like what you see here at Says the Stone…

A little more about me:
Long time ago, while studying Computer Sciences at University of Buenos Aires, I felt the need for adventure and fresh air ...so I applied for a spot at the city's iconic year-round open-air art market that was about to open. To my surprise, I got the spot. And that's how I started to develop my craft and earn a livelihood as a jewelry maker.
My paintings on mirrors and my jewelry were sold in several shops and wholesalers around Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.
I eventually got my degree in Computers and started to work as a computer programmer, in addition to selling my art, which turned out a perfect outlet after all the hours sitting at the computer, writing intricate code or spotting errors on never ending programs.

In 2010, just 5 years after moving to Canada with a husband, two boys and a dog, I discovered Etsy. That was the first day of a new artistic journey. I've been facilitating jewelry techniques and polymer clay workshops and participated in many craft shows here in Canada. I recently decided to work in my studio full time. My shop is growing, and I want to be there for her :)
