About

I've been in love with photography officially since the 10th grade, when I got my first SLR camera. Unofficially... it's been much longer than that. When I was quite young, I would borrow the camera during vacations, and my mother always complained that I wasn't taking enough snapshots of the family. My camera was always pointed at bugs, trees, buildings, random objects, and anything else that caught my eye. Now, after years of photography classes, school newspaper stints, internships, and extended periods of experimentation, I can actually call myself a photographer.

My "other" job is being an anthropology grad student - which pretty much gives me an extra excuse to seek out adventuresome projects. I recently wrote research papers on Disneyland and ghost tours. Why be a tourist when you can be a researcher or photographer?
