About

Hello and thanks for stopping by Scarlett Ink! I’m so glad to finally have an Etsy.com shop!

I started making greeting cards in 2004 after working at a gift shop that sold, among other things, handmade cards in all shapes and sizes. I loved how detailed and one-of-a-kind they were but most of the time, at $7 each, they were a bit out of my price range. So I decided to try and make some of my own and maybe they could be less expensive.

I started buying supplies like blank note cards with matching envelopes, stamps & inks, needles & thread, stickers, brads, punches… you name it. I tried different designs and gave them out during birthdays and holidays to friends and family, sometimes with matching bookmarks. Finally, I created the ones you see here on Etsy.com and they became some of my favorites.

Scarlett Ink creates simple and beautiful handmade cards. Sold in singles or in sets of 4 with matching envelopes, they come in many colors from turquoise and watermelon to sand and grey. Stamps, wire, thread, embellishments and handmade stickers are some examples of the supplies used in creating the cards.

I hope you enjoy sending them as much as I enjoy creating them. If you're interested in a behind the scenes look please visit my blog www.scarlettink.tumblr.com.
