About

I am a stay at home mom of a 4th and a 7th grader. Before I had children I was an Art Director for Fortune magazine. I left the working world behind to be with my children as they grow up. I have always been creative and found while being at home, I had an unbearable desire to create. After dabbling in many different crafts I found myself making crayons out of my sons old, broken crayons. The idea sparked when he would play with his Crayola Crayon Maker. I wanted to show him he could make crayons into shapes other than long, skinny crayons. We made all sorts of shapes out of whatever mold I could find. It was addicting and finally became what Scribblers Crayons® is today.

Aside from bribing and begging the neighbors’ kids to help with the crayon peeling on beautiful evenings, Scribblers Crayons® is a one woman shop. I have a very supportive husband that understands my need to create and the mess that results from it. My children are my biggest critics. They tell me what is cool and what is not. They suggest shapes and themes that are in the ‘now’. They will even take the ready crayons and experiment with them on paper (walls and floors and furniture, too) I don’t know what I would do without them and their hugs and kisses. Their scribbles are just a plus.

I love making something that every little kid loves, even if they don’t ever want to color. They can play. Maybe even be inspired to put something down on paper.

“You’re never too old to color and coloring never gets old!”

My background in Graphic Design and training in school was very specific in details and presentation. You will see that with my product and packaging that they are beyond presentable. Very clean and thoughtful of the person using them. I try to stay away from filler packaging like shredding because I feel that it takes away from the beauty of the crayons. Also, it is messy and as a parent, I cannot stand the shreddings all over my house.

I welcome all custom orders and am glad to help you with any ideas you have. If you do not see it on here, just ask, I may have it or can get it. Please inquire for wholesale orders.

All of my crayons are made from the well known brand of Crayola® brand crayons but are not endorsed by the company. I chose this brand of crayon because its familiarity and reputation for a good quality product. I like to make all my crayons fresh for you, so as soon as you order, I will get started on making them. **My crayons have no other ingredient added to them. Filler like soy makes the color toned down and not as brilliant.**

I work in a smoke free home and take very good care of every crayon I make. I love making them and I hope you and your children enjoy coloring with them!
