Thank you for your interest in my work.

My items are all crafted with the use of a scroll saw. Following the death of my beloved Weimaraner, Greta (her puppy photo is my avatar in her memory) to bone cancer at age 9, I needed to fill a void in my life. Having read an article on scroll saws sometime prior, I decided that now was the time to channel a loss into something found. I purchased my first saw and began, as Greta and I had done when I brought her home at 8 weeks, a journey of exploration and growth.

Armed with a saw, a few blades and scraps of wood, I soon found that getting a tiny blade to “obey” is much like raising a puppy but with time, patience, perseverance and lots of practice, great things can be achieved. About

My love of scrolling has evolved into a passion. With each new pattern, design, technique or wood, my excitement and devotion to my craft continues to grow.

I primarily use hardwood, both domestic and exotic and adapt a particular design to the wood’s color, grain and end use. I waste very little and use scraps for smaller items. Reclaimed wood is used when available and will be specified indicating the species, if known, and the origin. To enhance and protect the wood’s natural beauty, Danish oil is used as my first choice of finish. Stains and paint are only used rarely to highlight a particular area of a project. Items suitable for use outside are finished with waterproof deck sealer. I also recycle. Pop tops from soda cans make great hangers on some items if required.

I pride myself on quality workmanship and exemplary customer service. Having been in sales for a number of years, I firmly believe that without satisfied customers, there are no sales. Please feel free to communicate any questions, issues or concerns as well as any feedback. Custom orders or resizing of items will be considered. If you would like to add your own touches to an item (i.e. paint, embelishments, bead work, etc.) just let me know and I will not apply any sealers or finish.

Please come back soon and thanks again for visiting my shop.
