About

When I put on my t-shirt, jeans, and clogs each morning and select jewelry for the day I sometimes feel as if I am off to a tribal gathering. Beads evoke thoughts and feelings of connectedness. A person, not a machine, created these lampwork focal beads. Individuals hand cut the glass and created all the tiny handmade beads I love so much.

The weight and coolness of Sea Sky glass jewelry reminds me of being at the beach with good friends. I started creating blue, green jewelry because deep in my soul I missed the ocean, the culture, feelings, friends, and food I experienced there.

The coastal colors have cast an enduring warm glow in my memory and these I treasure. The tranquility of the "away from it all" location is inspiring. I love being near a warm ocean, with my feet in the sand, fresh sea air, and an endless blue sky. When I look down and see the colors of glass beads swirling round my wrist I am reminded of times past on a beach.

Designing jewelry is one of my forms of meditation and I love being lost in the moment. The process of aligning the shapes and shades in flowing harmony is a creative outlet I enjoy delving into. I carefully select the beads used to create this jewelry and when working with beads I choose to be in a peaceful calm head space as to embody serene and peaceful energy into the jewelry pieces.
