From the time I was a little girl, I was always the family photographer. Many of the old pictures in our photo albums don't have me in them, because I was the one taking the pictures!
I studied photography in-depth at college and fell deeply in love with it as an art form. I remember spending endless hours in the darkroom with the intoxicating smell of Fixer and Stop Bath.
I struggled with my decision as to whether to concentrate on becoming a professional photographer or a graphic designer. I decided on the latter for two reasons. First, photography supplies, equipment and renting a studio were extremely expensive back then. And moreover, I thought I could always incorporate photography into my graphic design work.
