Whenever I’m asked to write up a small bio, I usually use the same one. – “I'm a chronic Lyme disease fighter, an aspiring writer, amateur gluten-free cook, environmentalist, and a peace-loving teenager searching for life's little inspirations in all those people, places, and things happening around me. I'm doing my best to live a life full of positive thoughts, energy, and actions to help nurture the healing I need within me.”

It’s completely true, succinct, and the best summation I could make. However, I want to share more with you. My story is an usual one, and I think it’s worth telling. I’m 18 and I’ve been sick for almost half of my life. I have Chronic Lyme Disease, and am undergoing long-term treatment.

It’s completely true, succinct, and the best summation I could make. However, I want to share more with you. My story is an usual one, and I think it’s worth telling. I’m 18 and I’ve been sick for almost half of my life. I have Chronic Lyme Disease, and am undergoing long-term treatment.

My life is about living for the good moments, and making the best of those that aren’t.

I love writing, and creating. I write about my life with Lyme disease on my blog “I’m in the Lyme-Light”. I have a passion for peace, and for living an earth-friendly lifestyle. Recently I turned my love for recycling and crafting towards Etsy!

I handcraft paper beads out of re-purposed papers and use those to create and sell stylish, upcycled, completely unique pieces of jewelry. My goal is to create an income for myself by working from home on the days that my health allows. I cannot work a “normal” job, but I would love to be able to help my parents pay for some of my medical expenses. I’m excited to be striking out on my own doing what I love!

I never know what my day will hold when I wake up in the morning. It could be a great day, or it could be a day filled with symptoms I can’t wait to leave behind. But I know that each day I’m getting better – whether I feel like I am or not. Opening my Etsy store has given me something to push my creative energy towards, something to make me feel excited about. I can’t wait to see where this opportunity leads me!

Thank you for sharing this with me!
