Jennie Chancey's Profile
After starting up a successful historical costuming business in 1996, I began publishing my original patterns in 1998. Sense & Sensibility Patterns has grown from the Regency Era to include Romantic, Edwardian, Titanic, and 1940s designs, and in 2012, I'll expand into the 1950s! (Please visit http://sensibility.com to see my line of patterns, eBooks, and online sewing classes.) I love vintage clothing, classic lines, and unabashed femininity. Now that my family and I live in Kenya, I'm sending home beautiful Kanga fabric so others can enjoy sewing with this gorgeous East African material. All proceeds from the sale of Kangas go to provide sewing tools and education to the ladies in the Forever Grace Sewing Guild, helping needy women gain new skills to work from home and market what they create locally and internationally. All Kangas ship from Virginia, so there are no hefty air mail costs for US orders.
