I learned how to sew from my mother as a child. I remember all the compliments we received everywhere we went as small children. She had six daughters and was forever sitting at the sewing machine. Everyone talked about how Mrs. Jewell could sew. I love to make beautiful quality clothes and wish many times now that I could share the lovely details of each project with my mother. I can look at fabrics and imagine them as clothing or home decor.
I have learned so many things and have many different types of machines from computerized home sewing machines to an industrial embroidery machine. I still have the first serger my mother gave me and have since purchased two new computerized ones.
This is what I love to do and I hope it brings joy to all the little ones who bring them to life with their spinning and giggles as they imagine being an explorer, an astronaut, a fairy princess or whatever they…
