Mary Beth and Cyndi Kuhlman's Profile

About

I have loved stones since I was two years old when my grandfather, who was a stone mason, taught me to pick up Petoskey Stones. My passion for gemstones increased when I became a Chemist, and then began reading about and working with them.

In the 1960s I began making gemstone bead jewelry, and taught my two daughters to do the same. My friend Jan and I started a jewelry business in the year 2000, and in 2007 we had to dissolve our partnership due to health concerns in Jan's family. I continued on my own, and named my business "Shadow of the Cross". I wanted to focus on my Christian faith by working with gems of the earth and jewels of the sea.

My daughter Cyndi has now joined me in designing beautiful one-of-a-kind gemstone jewelry.
