My wife asked me one day, "Are you ever going to fish with any of these flies you tie?"
I looked at my kids who where in the process of shredding a piece of styrofoam packing material. I then looked up at the work schedule I keep up on the cork board I keep above my fly tying desk. Tripping over a toy car my five year-old strategically placed under my feet, I turned to look at my wife.
"Probably not in the next five years or so," I said.
"Well they're really nice. You should try selling some of them on Etsy."
So here I am.
All of my flies are tied on Mustad 34007 saltwater hooks using the best materials I can get my hands on. These are the same flies I fish with (or would like to fish with), so they are tied to be as durable as possible. I like flies that can be chewed up, spat out and still keep catching fish.
